AVG not working properly. Cannot launch program, but it is disabling other programs on my computer

Hello Eric,

I’d like to understand more about this situation. Have you disable AVG temporarily (Right click on AVG in the system tray and turn off the protection) and then check the status of the issue? Please provide the screenshot [http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot] of the error message to assist further.

I installed AVG this morning and since then my computer is not working properly. When I try to open any program I get numerous error messages (The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000005) Click OK to close the application) I've tried to stop AVG processes with the task manager, but receive a message "The operation could not be completed" access is denied.
I have downloaded the AVG removal tool but it will not run.  I can't use the Windows uninstall feature either - nothing happens.  I'm running Windows 10 on an HP Pavilion computer.
