Hi Anna,

This isn't the expected behavior.
It is not recommended to enable silent mode as you will not be getting the notifications of threats that are detected.
Are you using AVG Antivirus free or AVG Internet Security paid version?

I ticked "Use silent mode and turn off all the pop-ups, alterts and messages" in Settings -> General -> Notifications. NONETHELESS Avg still shows pop-ups about ITS products and services. They report problems just to make me upgrade the subscription. It's extremely bothering. How can I stop this? Please, help me or I'll leave AVG for another antivirus

Please do not worry, let me help you.
Go to Menu - Settings - General - Personal Privacy and un-tick the not required notifications from that list.

I'm using the free Version.
That sounds unbelievable: either I riceive all AVG's pop-ups (both about threats and about promo) or I'll get no communication? How can I stop just the commercial offer?
