I am having an odd problem with AVG Password Protection where passwords are not remembered. I have notice that in some cases the password has been saved with "No username" even if a username had been used. This username was usually my e-mail address. Now the strange part. In such cases I have usually applied for a new password, and then entered it. I could then get into the account again. But,if I log out and log in again immediately afterwards, the system thinks I have an incorrect username or password. This shutting me out of a number of Websites unless I go to the bother of applying for a new password - which only works once.
One client suggested it might be a problem in Firefox, with the cache not being cleared.
One point: could it be a Firefox problem, as the passwords show up in the "Logins and passwords" window? But AVG says there are no passwords in Firefox.
This used to be an intermittent problem but seems to be getting more frequent. I have installed some new graphics programs, and I use PC Tuneup, but I have not changed my system for a long time.
