AVG PC Tuneup causes crash and non bootup

Thought I would install PC Tuneup on my very stable tower win7 64 8gig and found after doing the recomended clean it would boot to the desktop then get the BSofD within a few sec's and would reboot, a driver over run was listed in the BSD?
I did a Ghost image restore that I made before installing and everythings ok now, tried doing system restore in safemode but it prompted that there were no restore points?  {there should of been about eight manual restore points}. every things ok now and will continue to use Reg Cure Pro as I didn't have any trouble with it
