Hello,
I have always run AVG free until October last year. Where I purchased the paid AVG Subscription, AVG Tune up and Password Protection.
Around end December or January I installed the AVG Tune up. Ran a scan and it caused havoc with my systems. Crashing programs and the computer…After much swearing and downloading I managed to repair that damage.
Whilst my computer no longer crashes, AVG keeps turning off and coming up with the warning that the computer and hacker protection sections are off and I am not protected. I say 'fix now' within 10 min…same issue…disabled protection.
I also keep getting an annoying message sometimes before, sometimes completely separate to it turning off. This message stops whatever I am trying to do and says:
'Service Shutdown…A program is attempting to shutdown AVG system service, disabling the real-time protection. This action will leave your system completely unprotected. Do you want to continue? Yes/No.'…honestly it doesn't matter which you click it still disables.
Everything is up to date. I have tried 'repairing' …no luck.
Since downloading I have had nothing but problem after problem when my computer ran fine before.
No, Only AVG and AVG Tune Up.
19.3.3084 avg pro
18.3.507.0 avg tune up
product versions
Repair was one of the first things I tried. Will try again. Otherwise if I have to uninstall the whole thing and start again. Will it accept all the subscription codes again?
I uninstalled avg tune up and avg and now i cannot even get onto the internet on my computer. It is saying all my links to mozilla, google, internet explorer cannot find program.

No, Only AVG and AVG Tune Up.
Heaps of programs all say same thing
widows cannot find c:\Program Files …and then the file path.
I have replied to your email with multiple screenshots saying the same thing.
I uninstalled avg tune up and avg and now i cannot even get onto the internet on my computer. It is saying all my links to mozilla, google, internet explorer cannot find program.
Thank you for the screenshots, Sally.
I see that you stated earlier as you performed a uninstallation of all AVG products. Could you confirm the same? If yes, be informed that uninstalling AVG products will revert the changes made by AVG. Probably, AVG is not causing the issue in that case and is due to some other services.
If you still have AVG products installed and the issue is occuring, do let us know to proceed with advanced troubleshooting steps.
Awaiting for your reply!
We're sorry to know that, Sally.
Would you be so kind to let us know if the icons of the html file or browsers changed to a different icon?
If possible, please share us the screenshot of the link (icons).
Thank you for the screenshot.
Do you have any other Anti virus installed in your computer? If so, please uninstall the other Anti virus software.
Even when i go through start menu and find file it will not open. Says cannot find.
No the icon only changed for avg. But when you click on the other icons the all say the same. Cannot find file. Do you want us to remove icon.
i took a photo with my phone but it will not load as it is too large for what is allowed here.
Sally, can you send us the version of your AVG Internet security?
Try to repair the product from the control panel and check for the issue again.

That's strange, Sally! We'll certainly look into this for you.
We need a screenshot of the page saying 'cannot find file' and this will help us to understand the issue better.
We sent you an e-mail and revert to us with the screenshot. Thank you.
