Hello Mordechai,
We understand how something like this can really try your patience.
However there are numerous number of malware programs emerging day by day and we are working 24/7 to add all those definitions to our database. We request you to start uninstalling all unknown, unnecessary programs from your computer, make sure you don't uninstall the windows programs. Also remove all the weird, unwanted add-ons, plugins, extensions, tool bars and search bars from your web browsers, if the issue persists, reset your browsers once. This should fix your issue.
Please feel free to contact us should you need any assistance. Thank you.
Hello,
Cannot understand this, yesterday downloaded "AVG_PCTuneUp_x86_767.exe" file, antivirus is allways active - nothing was reported, I let the antivirus to scan the whole computer overnight and set it to turn off the computer when finished.
Today when I turned computer on, still nothing reported, after several hours suddenly AVG popped up with a Red notice that the mentioned file is dangerous, asking me what to do. I let it clean the file, then opened the virus vault, it said the file is "Adware BundleApp.YXU".
Now I am asking you, is this antivirus reliable (always updated) ? how come it did not find that file dangerous just when download was finished ?
Program is AVG free edition, version 16.61.7539
Answers will be appreciated
Mordechai
Hello Mordechai,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Our AVG antivirus program usually scans for the files that are downloaded.
If a threat detected on the downloaded file it will show you the threat detection popup.
In your case, we don't think the threat detected from the downloaded file, we guess that it would have popped up when you browse on the internet.
After removing the threat do you face any issues?
Did you keep getting popups on your browser recently?
Hello Aravind
Thanks for your answer - perhaps I shell throw away my computer and all troubles gone!
Or wipe the whole computer clean ??
This was a nice answer !
Thanks
Mordechai
