This last week i have had problems with AVG making my internet pages lag or not load at all, it’s also casuing problems with being able to watch youtube in HD and most of the time will only play in 480 or lower, temporarily turning it off works and everything goes back to normal so i know it’s AVG causing the issues, i disabled https scanning which as helped a tiny bit but this the first issues i’ve ever had and its frustrating not being able to contct them directly.
I really don’t want to use any other AV has i’ve been using AVG for the last 10+ years but when it’s causing this many issues and no way of talking to support unless you pay then i don’t see and alternative.
I have been having the same issue for around 2 weeks now.
I am unable to watch videos on youtube over 1080p, even 1080p sometimes will keep buffering/stuttering like hell.
On top of that some sites are now a pain to access, for example amazon won’t load pages or stop in the middle, reddit also is having issues.
As soon as I deactivate AVG internet security, everything works fine, except I am no longer protected.
2 weeks beeing able to access only half the web really is a pain.
Please AVG do something.
Yes, that is the exact same issue i’m having word for word, i even done the free trial for full protection thinking that was the problem but it only made things worse, after a couple of days i went back to basic protection and that worked for 2 days then the same issues started happening again, i’m now just using the window defender on my pc which work just has great but i’m not happy being unrpotected and i’m hardly using the web (just going on facebook and youtube), a few people i have spoken to have recommended Bitdefender but i’m hesitant as i’ve always used AVG and never had a problem like this before, but i can’t carry on being unprotected.
