AVG refuses to execute a batch file

Hello Michel,

I understand the inconvenience.
For security reasons, some of the batch file or crack file will be detected as threat by AVG antivirus program, however "allow app" should make the program work perfectly.
In your case, I request you to submit the threat detected sample to us through this link: http://www.avg.com/submit-sample for analysis.
In the mean-time you can add the file to AVG's exclusion as mentioned (here).
Thank you.

Here it is:

Hello,
My AVG (paid version 2 years) refuses to execute a batch file I wrote in order to copy some pdf files of my desktop on a hard disk, on the one hand, and on a USB stick, on the other hand.
I got a message that "We've just protected your file" and suggesting to block or to allow the app…
I have allowed the app, but it does not work.
So I have to disable my AVG in order to run my batch file, and reactivate it later.
There must be a smarter solution, I guess.
What do you think?
Michel

Hello Ranjani,
cmd.exe was already allowed, but that gave me an idea: I added my batch file as an allowed app, and now I can execute it
I thank you and your colleagues very much for your help.
Michel

Hello Michel,

Hello Balasubramanian,
Thank you for your reply!
I tried again to use the ALLOW APP button, but it doesn't work.
I cannot add the pdf files to AVG's exclusion because they are new files that I create every day and which I first save on my desktop.
I've submitted the threat detected sample as you requested.
Regards,
Michel

Thank you for sharing the information, Michel.

Let's try to add this in an allowed apps. Open AVG Internet Security -> Hackers Protection -> Ransomwware -> Allowed/ blocked apps-> Allow an app -> add "C:\Winodws\System32\cmd.exe" and check if it helps.
