Started the Windows in the safe mode and deleted the avg remover folder. Restarted in the normal mode but still the problem persists.

If you are able to get into safe mode, delete "AVG remover" folder from C:\ drive and restart the PC into normal mode.

May I know if your computer is keep on rebooting or it is happing after some time (like if you can delete AVG Remover folder from the C drive), let me know if the previous/old AVG traces has been removed from computer and also if you're using AVG Free Antivirus for your computer protection.

I intiated the process to uninstall the older version of avg in order to install the new version with the help of avg remover. At the end it asked me to restart the system which i did. And since then it is only restarting. Help.
I am sorry to hear that the issue persists. Please restart in normal mode and check if you are able to access C drive. If you are able to access, then please remove the AVG remover folder and then see if everything works normally. If the issue persists, please open startup items in your computer and see if AVG remover is listed there. If it is, remove the same and check.
To open startup items:
Press Win-r. In the "Open" field, type msconfig and press Enter.
Click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the AVG remover program to stop launching on startup.
