Avg runs command line scans non-stop

Have a look thro' this thread (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=234221) from the old now 'read only' forum. It would appear that no user ever provided AVG with required outputs so they could analyze the issue further.

hello :

i  have  been   trying    for  at  least a  year     as  to   get a  resolve  as  to  WHY   ,  avG   anti-virus   continually  runs  dozens and  dozens  of  "  command  line "  scans ,  non-stop  !!!

there  is  NOTHING  in  the  scans…they  are  all  0  byte   junk  files  anyway…and  all they   do  is  plug  up  under  :      options  >  history >  scan  results…

previous  contacts     with   AVG  support   are  always  nothing  but a  waste  of  time , because  they    seen  not  to  know  what's  going on  either  !!!

HELP !!!

p.s

i  am  running a  fully  paid   AVG   release …current  version   is   2014 ,  build  4592   ,  although  the  issue  began    with a  2014  build  release…!!!

So AVG Internet Security is no longer the product that people usually pay money for? Maybe it's now AVG Family Safety, about which there seems to be only one question: How to uninstall it?

Marvin Martianul quote 'Of course a "paid AVG release" would usually include AVG's firewall'…
Incorrect! The AVG Firewall actually only features in the AVG Internet Security.
