Avg secure browser deleted all my passwords. can't recover and can't save new

Hello Nick,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We are really sorry to know this. We'll certainly check and help you out.
This isn't the usual behavior of Secure browser.
Could you please let us know the operating sytem name and version?
Initially, we'd suggest you to try restarting the computer once to check (if you've not restarted it).
After the restart, if you find the passwords, please export them (backup) as a precautionary measure & then reset the browser to check if it helps.
To export passwords : Open Secure Browser - Menu (3 dots at top right corner) - Settings - Autofill - Passwords - 3 dots beside saved passwords - Export.
To reset : Open Secure Browser - Menu (3 dots at top right corner) - Settings - Advanced - Restore settings to their original defaults, then select Reset settings to confirm.
Please do try and let us know if you are able to saved the passwords.
Thank you.

Hello to Krishna,

I've tried all that you have suggested since it's suggested in several forums. Still same issue. It will not save and keep passwords in password manager but some sites will actually populate the password. Only 1 or two of them. The operating system is windows 10 with whatever recent updates. But I checked update history and no new updates were installed recently. From google search it seems AVG has had this issue in the past. What's going on here?

I had avg antivirus installed on my home computer. I didn't use internet security for certain reasons. Always used avg secure browser though. For years, all is good. Then the other day I go to log into a site and all my saved passwords are gone. I start looking into it more, and it shows internet security was installed on my personal PC last month(which I did NOT do). It also showed the avg secure browser was installed on my PC 3 days Prior ( Nov 12, 2024 ). I tried as a test to go back in and save some new passwords, and every time I close the browser it looses anything that was saved. But, certain websites, like my target account for example, It will actually pull a username and password for that account even though there is nothing saved in the password section! What is going on here??? I can't have this kind of instability.
