Please do change the location of the VPN by following the below instructions.
- Click Change location on the main application screen.
- Do select a different country and city to connect with.
- Make sure that you are not connected with same location.
If the issue persists follow these instructions. Please try switching the VPN protocol to Mimic – you can find that option in the App Settings:
- Windows: ☰ Menu ▸ Settings
- Mac: ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences
- Android: Tap Settings/VPN Protocol
- iOS: Tap Settings/VPN Protocol

I use AVG Secure VPN along with Covenant Eyes (CE), an internet accountability service. When I run the two together, I am unable to connect to the internet. I know that CE manages the DNS server address for IPv4 and IPv6 connections.
[Question]
Why would I be unable to connect to the internet, and what troubleshooting steps can I take?
To be clear, I don't want to "get around" Covenant Eyes. I value the service and pay for it. I just want more privacy online with the VPN.
