Hello Chris.
We regret the inconvenience.
Regarding the connection issue in AVG Secure VPN, close the application, reopen it and try to turn on VPN connection.
Regarding the Password Protection component turned off, let us know the version of AVG Internet Security installed on your PC.
Open AVG, click Menu -> About.

Thought I'd try here before contacting tech support. I've had AVG VPN/Anti Virus/PC Tune Up for years and have worked fine until recently as when I try to connect to VPN (any location) I get a message stating 'Can't connect to VPN'. On running the troubleshooter it mainly comes back saying it is fine but did get an error code MV74CM at one point.

Not sure if either of these are relevant but:

  • problem started not long after updating my PC to Win 10 Pro (from Home). I did this as was looking at using my home PC to access work apps via MDM.  Added workplace account to my PC do this but have subsequently disconnected it as it wont work with any Anti Virus software other than defender.
  • The 'password protection' element of 'Hacker Attacks' keeps turning itself off in AVG Anti Virus.

Thank you, my VPN is now working after a reinstall

That is awesome, Chris!
If you need anything else, do not hesitate to let us know.
