Hello Keiron.
We'll be glad to look into this.
Unfortunately, you do not have an active subscription for AVG Secure VPN. Are you using a trial version?
Your paid subscription include a paid version of AVG Internet Security for Mac.
What are all the AVG apps installed on your Mac? Could you share a screenshot of your network settings where it shows multiple instances of VPN connection?
Actually I do have an Active subscription for AVG Secure VPN and use it on both my MacBook and my Android phone under a 5 device licence.
I have AVG Ultimate with AVG Internet Security and AVG Secure VPN installed on my MacBook. I have subsequently restored my computer back to the previous version of OSX and this has removed the erroneous AVG Security (VPN) and I will not be upgrading to Big Sur until I am certain this and other issues will not occur again.
Since upgrading to OSX Big Sur my VPN started coming on automatically and after a bit of struggle I managed to delete the old version of the VPN and reinstall AVG Secure VPN again. This is working fine but I appear to have another application called AVG Security that is also trying to connect to a VPN automatically and produces multiple instances in my Network Settings. This is both annoying and conflicting.
Any ideas on what this AVG Security is and how to get rid of it permanently?
