Sir,
Thanks for your prompt reply to my question. I checked, and have a basic 32 bit Windows XP (I simply have no money to upgrade my computer). Then downloaded the AVG Remover and followed the prompts. Followed by a download of the 32 bit Windows version of AVG Free 2015.
Onfortunately, on thrying to run the new download, I received the following comment via pop-up message box: <Setup Extractor; "Unable to extract the setup contents. If you want to continue the setup or update process, makesure you have the Administrator rights." (Can't load config info)> The <> arrows are my attempt to display the message as I viewed it.
When I clicked on 'Run' to setup AVG Free, I made no change at all to the licence details, I just tried to start the ball rolling, but no-go! As our AVG Guru, what action do you think I should take now?
Regards, John.
I had AVG Free in the past, it worked okay. After I did a major programme cleanup of my computer, I realized I'd deleted AVG. Since then I've tried AVG 2015 Free, the 1 month trial of AVG Internet Security and the 1 month trial of AVG Zen. When I've tried to open and run the programmes, neither of these 3 downloads would function.
After trying to use Zen, AVG says that I'm using the wrong customer licence code, but it is the genuine code downloaded at the same time as the Zen program.
What am I doing wrong?
Hello John. Pleased to see that you appear to be now sorted. Thanks for returning to the Community & posting.
