AVG shows a Trojan

Hello Jan,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
For security reasons any antivirus program will detect some .exe application as a threat.
However, if it is a trusted program it's installed path can be added to exception list of antivirus program.
We request you to disable AVG temporarily by following the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/1GnMD3N and then install the MGI Photosuite program.
Open AVG program and then add the entire folder of Photo suite program to AVG's exception list by following the instructions mentioned in this link: http://avgread.me/18WB2dg .

Please feel free to contact us should you need any further assistance.

Many thanks Balasubramanian for your help, it is most appreciated.  I have just followed your instructions and reinstalled MGI.  I will now do an AVG scan and hopefully nothing will show up - if it does, I will of course let you know.  Thanks once again

Hello and thank you for accepting me.  I have a problem, I am on Windows 7 with AVG free. I have an old Photo programme that I love and use regularly (MGI Photosuite III).  However, on both my desktop and mylaptop AVG kept coming up with a Trojan.  So I uninstalled MGI III and re-installed it, but every time I put the disks in, it comes up that AVG has found a virus during install.  I am now left without a photosuite programme.  Any help you can give would be most appreciated
