Also the frequency of pop ups can be controlled directly from the app or can be even turned off.
Open AVG Internet Security, click Menu -> Settings -> General -> Personal Privacy. Uncheck 'Show offers for other AVG products', 'Shows offers for 3rd party products' and click OK to save the settings.

AVG continuously spams me about other programs and features I have no interest in. I discontinued the software once before because of this, and it appears they haven't gotten any better. Very annoying. How do I get this to stop, or do I need to switch to a better software?
