Hello Raegene,
We understand your concern. This can happen if the AVG update was running any product update that needs to restart the AVG service in your computer. That might have stopped AVG for some time and after the restart it should have improved performance in your computer.
Thank you
AVG update started at 8:25:43 pm; Internet Security stopped at 8:26:09 pm; Internet Security running at 8:26:36 pm; update completed at 8:27:13 pm. Any idea why this happened? Second time it has happened in abt a month. Thanks!
Hello Raegene,
Please do not worry, whenever a new product update is done, AVG will automatically run scan to make sure your computer is protected.
Thank you
Thanks for your reply. I'm concerned abt being unprotected during the down time when the firewall is not protecting my pc. Does my AVG run a scan once Internet Security is again running to ensure no viruses, malware, etc. infected my pc during the down time? Or, when this happens again, do I need to manually run a scan? Thanks!
