AVG Stops me Connecting to Network Drives

I've run the clear tool and reinstalled AVG but still had the same problem this morning. No network connection until I repaired AVG and rebooted.

Twice in the last week I have been unable to connect to my network drives when I turn the computer on. The first time I tried a whole host of things to fix it before the only possible solution was to deactivate my firewall. I opened the Add / Remove programs and selected AVG and found it has a "Repair" option. On selecting that AVG installed some files and suggested a reboot. After the reboot all the network drives were connected.

This morning I once again couldn't connect to network drives until I told AVG to repair itself. Now the network is fine again.

How can I stop this from repeating? AVG should not need to be repaired several times a week.

Thanks

Craig

Nope. Definitely not resolved. Every morning I have to repair AVG otherwise I have no access to the network drives. Please help!

Hello Craig,
We can certainly take a look into this.
I request you to check if AVG Firewall network profile is private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), and also check the Firewall system rules (Go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured).

Alok.

Thank you for the screenshot.

Please uninstall AVG Internet Security by running AVG Clear tool https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe and click on this link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection to install the latest version of AVG on your computer.

If you face any difficulties, please let us know and we will assist you further.

Thanks. I've made those changes but I suppose we won't know if it's resolved it for a few days!

Cheers,

Craig

Again this morning I had no connection to my network drives. "Repairing" AVG fixed the issue again. So, unfortunately, those Firewall settings did not resolve the issue.
