As explained, I uninstalled Virus protection which I have paid for on an annual subscription. I am not looking for my money back but when I logged in to see when my current (unused) subscription is due to expire, an offer to choose one of several AVG services appeared. It promised the "free" use of said product until my subscription runs out in 2024. There was no catch or "hooks" such as "7 days' free trial". There was no ticket number because I was only looking at mu own account for information. I also see a similar query in this theread (some pages above) asking if this offer is a con? I belive it is just good marketing to offer value to a client who is disappointed with the primary product. Please see how you may help me?
PS does this chat facility offer the option to submit a screen shot?
Hi Peter,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community.
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Upon checking our records, we're unable to find any previous incident with us.
Would you be so kind to let us know how you've got the product exchange offer?
If you've any ticket number for reference, please help us with it or clarify how you got the offer.
Good Day.
I have uninstalled AVG virus protection from my laptop due to start up and poor performance issues that I could not resolve for many weeks. I am trying another product on appro.
As I have a current subscription, you kindly invited me to try another product for the balance of the period remaining I chose "driver updates". Please tell me how I can install this without entering into another subscription. Thank you.
Thank you for writing us back Peter,
I will certainly help you with the issue. As we're uncertain about the exact pop-up or advertisment that you receive, please share us the screenshot (| AVG (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=avg-create-screenshot&q=screenshot&supportType=home)) so that we can check and assist you accordingly.
Awaiting your reply.
