Thank you.
I recently paid my subscription on 6/11/2020 by PayPal.
Invoice Number (data removed)
It has come up in my bank statement that it has been paid & also on PayPal statement it shows it has been paid & on my statement with AVG Technologies it has come up as being paid.
SO why have I received several emails from you to pay this account !
Micheal, please try to keep the whole conversation in one thread to speed up resolution.
You can find answer to your question together with your other post here https://support.avg.com/answers?id=9065p000000PlDe.
Hello,
My name is Michael and I write this on behalf on my ill father.
AVG have charged him over a two year period (on automatic renew), for products... even sometimes just a day apart for the same products, he did not want, did not know he purchased and DID NOT EVEN USE.
Unbelievably AVG have charged him approximately $1000 in the last two years. He is so oblivious to The account and products that the name on the account was first name unknown, last name unknown. All AVG had was his credit card number and email address.
THIS IS INSANE.
Please see list below....
[LIST DELETE DUE TO SECURITY REASONS]
Can someone please help me sort this out?
He is an old man in a nursing home and doesn't even use the computer. He has NEVER use these products and never would. I can only imagine they came with a computer that he bought two years ago and tried, but could not really use or some click bait.
I became aware of this issue only yesterday and as such am acting now. I have also just spent the last hour on the phone with him crying as he doesn't understand how people could've taken this much money out of his account without him knowing and/or understanding what is happening.
I am both devastated on his behalf and absolutely furious.
I know AVG is a reputable company as many of my friends use your products, but this is not how a reputable company does business..... by stealing from an old man who not only cannot afford the product, but can't even use the product.
I immediately emailed the refunds team and they simply stated that as it was outside the 30 days they could not help. Surely this is not good enough.
Can anyone please help?
Regards,
Michael.
Hello,
Mate, I have contacted support and they simply stated that there was nothing that can be done.
He is an old man and has had the funds taken to the tune of $1000.
This is insane…
I will not share any more sensitive information (albeit it was done accidentally).
Can you please public ally respond for all too see as I have, as stated, already spoken to support and they just dismissed me as if it was not an issue.
Mate, it is $1000 and money he doesn't have to spend. He is incredibly distraught. I am furious.
Please can you help us. You guys must see that this is a serious situation!?
How can you help me please?
Regards,
Michael.
