Hello Chrissie
Generally can manually fix the problem with Internet Explorer has stopped working, but it is difficult and you do not want to be very technical
Try to enable Internet Explorer add-ons.

Follow these steps here to reset Internet Explorer
Reset Internet Explorer settings
To reset Internet Explorer settings

Once you reset Internet Explorer, you will have created a folder on desktop with an archive of all the old browser, add-ons. You can restore them, or install again later.
Thanks

Hi, I reset IE9 & when I select the AVG toolbar I got the message Internet Explorer has stopped working.
I restarted IE9 but the AVG toolbar has dissappeard, but AVG Security Toolbar version 18.3.0.885 is still installed on my laptop (Win 7)
I reset IE9 because I keep getting the message Internet Explorer has stopped working & struggled to get on-line. I'm still getting this message, does anyone know if it's a virus.
Any help greatly appreciated, thank you Chrissie (not too technical please)
