I have exactly the same problems, have had so since the last AVG update, which has cost me too many hours of frustration, with lots of programs STILL NOT WORKING!!!
This is indeed a COMPLETE FAILURE by AVG. I felt previously that AVG was a whole lot better than Norton, but now I'm not so sure. Creating all of those additional subdirectories within Registry, all pointing to "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG TuneUp\autoreactivator.exe" has quite literally almost disabled everything I use regularly, and I'm not at all pleased.

WTF is AVG doing. You have destroyed my registry on 3 windows machines with all my registries being infected with "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG TuneUp\autoreactivator.exe" under debugger for all programs installed.
How is this software at this point any different than a virus?
I expect AVG to take accountability and offer a fix, update this software so it doesn't happen again after we fix and try to reinstall our softwares, unless they are lost to us, and offer all clients at least 6 months free on their purchase of what use to be a reputable software to make amends.
