Sorry for the inconvenience caused. For your information, only disk defragmentation takes several hours to get completed and the other features will take only less than an hour. In your case, you mentioned that it is skipping the disk defragmentation and cache features scan before starting the scan was these option unchecked?
What is the current status of your PC?
I am running the initial scan and it is finding registery issues & broken shortcuts. It's skipping system cache and logs, browser data, and disk fragmentation. However, it just keeps scanning startup & shutdown. It's been scanning it now for a couple of days.
What's interesting is I do have an issue shutting down my PC. It's go to the "Shutting Down…" screen but never actually do it until I hold down on the power. AVG did find a couple of viruses on my PC, but I was trying the Tunup scan after removing them and restarting.
Any ideas?
