Hi Martin, please uninstall the AVG program from windows 8.1 and reinstall it after you install Windows 10, you can use your same license number to activate the AVG program, you don't have to buy the program again.

Do I uninstall My recently renewed AVG first to get the free Windows 10 upgrade? Then do l reinstall it after? Do I have to pay for new protection.? One of your FAQ's said - no charge to do this. It did not say if it needed to be uninstalled first.Sorry, this is my first computer and it is  a little over 1 year as a new user.Thankyou
