Hi Charles,
This seems to be a new issue and we’d like to understand more about this situation. Have you used AVG Clear and remover tool to reinstall AVG product?
It is not recommended to have more than one security programs to avoid conflict. Please uninstall MalwareBytes and run AVG Clear tool http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-troubleshoot-issues-after-upgrade-to-the-latest-AVG-antivirus-product to remove AVG with its traces and check if it helps.
I have a problem with friends computer that I am helping him with. He is using AVG Internet security just installed 2 weeks ago. He was having some problems with it and asked me to come over and help him. When I clicked on the AVG icon, it popped up not as avg, but as a avast user interface. I did a clean install of the avg and ran a scan but found nothing. I also installed malwarebytes which found conduit on it which I removed. I went through the whole computer and could not find where the avast was loaded nor where the conduit was loaded. I did get any screen shots at the time which is my fault.
The internet browsers, both microsoft edge and google chrome, would not allow me to sign into the avg website yet had no problem signing into other sites.
What could be causing this? I know it is a virus, I just don't know how to get rid of it.
