Hi ALL, I have no television, I have no internet through an ISP. I only use my phone for internet access. I used to run two works laptops, a personal laptop and a phone through my Blackberry Z30. I could do all that through my phone with no issues. Brilliant Blackberry!
After 10 happy years with my Blackberry Z30, I decided to upgrade to a 5G iPhone 12 pro max. I set the phone up and connected my three laptops and phone to the iPhone hotspot.
The works laptops connected via its VPN but nothing would work. After some research I found that I needed to put the iPhone into 4G mode. Everything worked with my works laptops after changing to 4G.
However, my personal laptop will connect and I can browse and stream for a few minutes and then I get disconnected from YouTube. I switch off the AVG VPN and Youtube comes back to life. Clearly the AVG VPN is the problem. I have read others have the same issues when I read articles in AVG support.
I have not uninstalled and reinstalled as I see others doing it but with no success.
Hello Brian,
We are glad to help you. It does not matter which phone you are using to connect with AVG Secure VPN. If you choose optimal location in VPN program, you do not face disconnect issue.
Please try to change the location in VPN and check for it. We look forward for your response.
Im afraid I tried on UK Wonderland with little success. I'll test some more tomorrow but I feel we'll fail.
Why did the VPN work while connected to the old BlackBerry Z30 but as soon as I swap to the iPhone it becomes a problem.
Regards,
Brian.
