AVG VPN has stopped working

Thank you for sharing us the screenshot. We suggest you to logout you account from AVG Secure VPN (Open AVG Secure VPN > click on Logged in (top right corner) > log out) then login back again and try to use AVG Secure VPN and see if that works fine. Use your AVG My account email address and password to login.

If not please uninstall AVG Secure VPN from control panel  and then reinstall the application to resolve the issue.

Until recently I had a paid AVG Anti-Virus and also a paid AVG VPN.  I opted not to renew my paid Anti Virus product and reverted to AVG free.  I was happy to continue with my paid AVG VPN and it doesn't expire until May 2019.  It has been working until a week or two ago.  A message comes up to say that my AVG VPN is (almost) ready for action and when I click on it, the button is grey (not green) and I can't switch it on. It is asking me to register it to use it and when I click on it, it asks me to choose a plan and payment amount to register it! I find this totally confusing and unacceptable.  I tried AVG premium support and they have not been much help.  They wanted to use remote access to see what the problem is and said it must have been an update?!  I can't see that this is the reason I have turned off automatic updates as we are travelling. I would love to get it operating again.
