I had already found these instructions and tried them all for Outlook with no success. Sorry I forgot to mention that in my first post. Any other ideas for me to try?

I am running Windows 8.1 and have installed AVG VPN. I am also running Outlook 2010. I can receive emails but cannot send emails unless I turn off the VPN.
On a different PC I am running Windows 2010 and Outlook 2010. I can send and receive emails with no problems. I have setup both VPN configurations the same on both PC's. I have also tried to change my VPN location on the Windows 8.1 PC but this did not help me.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to get my Windows 8.1 PC sending emails?
