AVG Web Shield Blocking My Luxury Car Rental Website as a Suspicious Domain

Hello AVG Community,

I am currently facing a persistent and very concerning issue where my luxury car rental website, which focuses on renting high-end vehicles such as Bentley models in Dubai, is being blocked by AVG Web Shield as a potentially unsafe or suspicious site. My website is fully legitimate and is used to provide booking information, pricing, and customer inquiry forms for renting luxury cars. However, users who have AVG installed report that they are unable to access the site at all, as AVG displays a security warning and prevents the page from loading. This is significantly affecting my business because many potential customers are unable to even view the available rental options due to the blocking behavior.

The core issue appears to be that AVG is flagging the entire domain rather than specific content or pages. When users attempt to visit the homepage or any of the vehicle listing pages, the connection is interrupted immediately, and the browser displays a warning message indicating that the website may be harmful. In some cases, users are given the option to proceed, but most customers do not continue after seeing the warning. From my perspective, the website is functioning normally, loads correctly for non-AVG users, and does not trigger any browser security warnings or SSL errors. This makes the blocking behavior seem like a false positive detection.

I have already conducted multiple security checks to ensure that the website is safe and compliant with standard web security practices. The site is hosted on a secure server with a valid SSL certificate, and all traffic is served over HTTPS. I have also scanned the website using external malware detection tools, which confirm that there are no malicious scripts, phishing content, or harmful downloads present. Additionally, the website does not offer any file downloads; it only provides information about Bentley rental services, pricing details, and a contact form for customer inquiries. Despite these measures, AVG continues to flag the domain, which suggests that the issue may be related to content classification or heuristic detection rather than actual security threats.

Another possible factor I am considering is the nature of the website content itself. Since the site focuses on luxury vehicle rentals, including Bentley cars, it contains high-value keywords and booking forms that might resemble patterns sometimes associated with fraudulent rental services. However, my website is fully legitimate and operates transparently with real booking inquiries and verified service information. I suspect that AVG’s automated detection system may be misclassifying the site based on keyword patterns or structural similarities to other flagged domains, even though there is no malicious intent or behavior involved.

I have also checked whether external scripts or third-party integrations could be contributing to the issue. The website uses standard services such as analytics tracking, maps for displaying pickup locations, and a contact form system. All external resources are loaded securely and from reputable providers. However, since AVG does not provide detailed information about what specifically triggers the block, it is difficult to determine whether one of these external dependencies is being flagged. The lack of detailed reporting makes troubleshooting extremely challenging from my side.

I would greatly appreciate guidance from the AVG community on how to resolve this blocking issue and determine the exact reason why my Bentley rental website in Dubai is being flagged. Specifically, I would like to know how to identify the exact element causing the detection, whether this is a known false positive issue, and how I can request a review or whitelist the domain. My goal is to ensure that legitimate customers can access my website without encountering security warnings that prevent them from viewing or booking luxury car rental services. Sorry for long post!

Is there anyone who can guide?

Hello @Deen_James,

Thank you for reporting this situation.

I’ve checked the URL provided in your second post and don’t see any detection. Please send me a screenshot of the detection dialog or the detection ID at the bottom so I can investigate further.

Thank you.
