Hi, well suddenly my 1TB solid state drive got full for no apparent reason, on checking with Tree Size software it seems duplicates of my files were stored in a temp file in a directory called AC that is stored under the users appdata local packages windows_ie_001. The file was called AVG Web Tuneuip and had grown to 471.9GB
After a head scratch due to the fact that the software tool would not unistall I bought a copy of Max Uninstaller that worked well, but put me out of pocket. It seems an excellent tool and I am sorely tempted to let it loose on the other AVG programs if they don't behave.
I see lots of other people have this trouble, not sure if it is specific to windows 10.
Where did this web tune up thing come from I wonder - I do not recall asking for it. So its a bit worm like maybe. Google searches call it a pup.
Fingers crossed that it does not re-install itself.
Some feedback for the general public on what is happening would be appreciated.
