AVG Web TuneUp Will Not Uninstall

I have the same problem as Teresa, have uninstalled AVG using the AVG Remover (rebooted 3 times in the process) but the AVG is still in it's folder Programs (x86)\AVG Web TuneUp and the uninstall program in the folder won't run (even using Admin) and the uinstall program that shows in the Programs and Features uninstall also won't run… what is it with this program?  Please tell me how I can get rid of it… Thank you!!!

Hi Alan,

I did take a look at that article. I use Google Chrome but the thing is... the Web TuneUp does not show up anywhere in my browser or in my extensions... I think it's hidden somewhere, somehow on my computer. The only way it shows up is if I go to my settings and take a look at my apps, where it appears at the bottom of the list with the space it occupies listed as "Unavailable". When I deleted AVG yesterday, about 25 GB of space cleared up from my hard drive (which seems like a lot), but that number keeps going down throughout the day - I'm almost positive the AVG Web TuneUp is causing it, as this problem didn't start until right after the initial update failed. I tried using the AVG Remover tool and restarting my computer several times today, but nothing seems to get rid of that app.

Any other ideas?
I'm not a computer expert by any means, but I've searched online and can't find anything that seems to solve this problem. The only other thread that seems to relate is this one:

I run on Windows 10 and kept getting a popup to update AVG. When I finally completed the update, I received an "Installation Failed" message with error code 0xE001C00D.

Ever since the update failed, the space on my hard drive started filling up without explanation. I noticed that the apps section of the hard drive was taking up hundreds of GB of space, while doing the math only led up to about 30 GB. At the bottom of the list, the amount of space taken up by the AVG and AVG TuneUp apps was listed as "Unavailable." I tried deleting AVG and the corresponding AVG Web TuneUp. AVG deleted successfully, but the Web TuneUp will not disappear and my space keeps being eaten away - even when I delete things, the space will go back down to 0. I have tried uninstalling, as well as using the AVG Remover tool - nothing works. This is really screwing up my computer - and right before finals week… please help!
