AVG with Malwarebytes on Win 7

Hello Wally,
We would suggest not to keep more than one anti virus program on your computer because it keep conflict the other anti virus from installation and protection. Also AVG 2017 has an option called 'passive mode' which will get activated when there are conflicting Anti virus programs installed in your PC. When AVG is in passive mode, the real time protection will not run in background, so the best option is to remove the conflicting Anti virus programs.
Thank you.

Hi,

I have installed both AVG Premium and MalwareBytes Premium on my
Windows 10 system without any conflicts (or so it seems).

When I tried to install the same products on my Windows 7 system,
AVG complained about the presence of MalwareBytes, and went into
"passive mode".

I was under the impression that AVG and MalwareBytes would
complement each other, as one can catch things that the other cannot,
which would act as layered protection.

Is it the case that I can do that on a Windows 10 system,
but not on a Windows 7 system?

Thanks!

Wally, Also have a look @ this  AVG article (http://avgclick.me/ConflictingApps) [Scroll Down - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware].
