Please make sure there is no conflicting antivirus software is installed on your PC.
Then, download and run AVG Clear tool to remove the traces from previous installations and try to install AVG now.
I had to reformat my hard drive and then I tried to download AVG and it did say it was downloading. I then went through all the steps to install it but when done with that it did not show up as a program that had been downloaded or installed.
No error message. I've have tried this three times now. AVG just does not appear as a program that has been installed. Not even in the list of programs to uninstall.
I am using a Lenovo desktop with Windows 10.
