AVG won't turn on also my subscription isn't showing on my account

Hi folks,

According to my good lady wife this morning when she turned the computer on it ran some sort of scan disk before booting.

When I got to use it an hour or two later I found that AVG (paid) protection/firewall had been turned OFF and Windows defender and firewall turned on. Whilst I can turn off Defender I am unable to turn on AVG.

As an aside my renewal is due in 21 days, I renewed today however the reminder remains visible on the AVG interface. And a visit to "My account" shows no active subscriptions.
