AVGAntiTrackFilter

This is more of a note than a question - I have often found my internet is blocked and Windows 10 is reporting that I am not connected to the internet, although I am connected to the local network. After many restarts of everything, I realised that the process AVGAntiTrackFilter is taking nearly all my CPU, and also won't die, when I log out. I have found that killing the AVGAntiTrackFilter task in task manager fixes the problem immediately and all my internet connections re-open. It restarts itself after a while and is ok for a while. Does anyone know if AVG are aware of this and whether it is widespread?

Hi Wayne,

There was an issue with the network connectivity & AVG AntiTrack earlier.
It has been already fixed by our developers & the hotfix was released.
To apply the patch, please follow the below steps & let us know if it helps :
- Quit AVG AntiTrack from system tray (right click on AntiTrack icon in system tray & quit)
- Open Task manager (Right click on taskbar) to check whether AVG AntiTrack Filter.exe is running. If so, right click on it & end task.
- Reopen AVG AntiTrack program & navigate to : Menu - settings - check for updates & update, if available.
