AVGSvc.exe is a legit file of AVG Internet Security. It is a service responsible for the realtime protection, quarantine functions & scheduler.
If you prefer to disable this service, then you may need to uninstall AVG Internet Security.
However, before proceeding with that, would you be so kind to let us know the reason to disable it or what Microsoft support suggested?
Windows Support spent hours and hours checking my system to find out what is wrong and during the remote session, they determined that AVGSvc.exe is causing many problems in my system.
Please explain what this is and how to disable it. Thank you.
This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program, Stephen.
In this regard, if you prefer we can try reinstalling AVG program once to check. As it isn't recommended to share the product details over this post, we've sent you an email including the installation article along the activation code. Please reinstall & let us know the outcome.
I am not an expert... They checked the registry and dump files and error reports and did a clean boot and ran a bunch of diagnostics and told me a process called AVGSvc.exe is preventing Windows from functioning correctly. They said it is conflicting with other software on the machine as well as disabling updates for the operating system and other software.
It is causing the NETIO.SYS blue screen crash and they said they can recommend removing it completely or contacting AVG Support to ask them to fix the issue.
They viewed physical evidence that this process is restricting the system and causing a lot of conflict with other programs.
I have paid for AVG and I do no wish to stop using the AVG products but the AVGSvc.exe process is a huge problem. They did a clean boot as well as checking the dump files and told me this is the exact cause of all the conflicts.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Loja, I can assure you that AVG Internet Security program will not interfere with Windows updates.
May I know the name of operating system in which you experience the issue?
I have already done that. If the blue screen occurs again, we can investigate further. Microsoft Support told me to remove the software because it is preventing essential Windows Updates.
I forgot to mention, the exact issue that was occurring was a blue-screen that said NETIO.SYS error...
That is why I contact Windows.
Shall we clear all traces of AVG protection program and reinstall it to check the status?
