My avg quit loading after a recent update. When my computer starts I get this message:
"Window\system32\mfc110u.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error.
I started to uninstall it but got a response to try a repair. Repair seemed to work then immediately stopped both AVG and windows defender.
How should I attempt to fix this?

It seems that the older version of AVG is installed in your computer, could you please let us know if you are using the free or paid version of AVG?
It is the free edition. I believe this started when AVG asked to update and I think the update was initially successful.
