Avgui.exe" error in unknown avg component

Yes I changed my hard drive, but the error message starts to show up after changing it.

And why should I upgrade, I bought the 2 years abo (ending in Nov 2014), isn't the version an always actual version? Thanks for answer, Petra

Hi Petra,
You can upgrade for free (it uses same license).
Thanks

Every day after starting my PC and after regularly updating the avg database I get the message:
"avgui.exe" error in unknown avg component

Sometimes I receive an error window with the following text:

This image is not available because: You don’t have the privileges to see it, or it has been removed from the system

When looking in AVG reports, it always tells: Update was successful.

Last week I had an crash of my hard disc with damaged sectors, before that programs were "freezing" after starting them.

Does anyone know about this avgui.exe error message?  May be a virus?

Thanks for your help.
Petra

Hi Petra,
If you had damaged sectors did you change yor hard drive?
Error message might be conected to some hardware issue.
I also reccomend upgrade to latest version of AVG.
Thanks

Petra, As recommended by Zbynek the latest version is now AVG IS 2014. Have a look @ this article (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-upgrade-AVG-8-5-9-0-2011-or-2012-to-the-latest-version).
