We are sorry to know that you are unable to close out the pop-up. To fix this issue, we suggest you to open the task manager by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and from task manager close the AVG process and that will close this pop-up.

I have an AVG popup that wants me to "Try Internet Security Now" or "Download a free trial".
I can't get rid of it. The X does not work. Control/Alt/Delete and bringing up task bar normally works with popups, but it is not listed there to delete.
It takes up nearly a quarter of my screen and has been there for the last 18 hours, and probably a permanent fixture unless I succumb to AVG's subtle "encouragement". Is this something new!
I have been using "Free" for years. If they want to end Free, why not just say so, and then we decide if we want to buy it, or go elsewhere. I am really not impressed by being forced in such an invasive manner.
Is there any way I can get rid of this popup
