Open the AVG management console and click Internet Security.
Go to Settings ▸ Ransomware Protection.
Select the Blocked/Allowed apps tab.
Remove if you see any app is listed in Blocked apps and add it to Allowed apps.
Didn't work for me. i still cannot open .XLSX files after yesterdays upgrade. payed more (installed secured browser), but unable to work at the moment. a pitty. i have always been in favour of AVG, but not being able to use XLSX anymore, that's impossible for me. When i shut down AVG, i can access the files (but i don't have protection), when AVG is active, unable to open the .XLSX files …

I inadvertently allowed AVG to proect mt Excel files and they are now read only. How can I turn this off?
