Generally scans shouldn't take much longer time, kindly cancel the scan then repair the program using the below article, reboot the PC, initiate the scan and check the issue.

When i select Boot Scan, it never loads, never ends, i waited for 7 hours and nothing happened, please, can some one explain me what is that? is it virus? does it rly takes the entire day?
