Thank you.
I keep getting a pop up recently saying AVG has,'detected a boitnet blaclist and has prevented connection'. Have done a full viral scan, as well as a MalWare Bytes scan - still happens, how do I get rid?
To be honest, 'refreshing FireFox' is a real pain, you lose lots of add ons and settings, and I really can't be bothered. Hopefully, the 'repair' of AVG wil suffice. If not, I may just have to bite the bullet LOL
Alright, Stephen. In this regard, you can try disabling those extensions & let us know the outcome. If you still receive the threat notification, we may need to reset the browser.
Meanwhile, please ensure that the AVG program has the latest patches applied to it (Open AVG program - click on refresh icon beside virus definitions, at bottom right corner - restart computer after successful update)
While writing back, please clarify whether you use a free or paid version of AVG & share us the screenshot of the exact notification that you receive on your computer.
Stephen, we're sorry to know that our attached articles are not working on your computer. As I checked, it is working from our end, I'd recommend you to try accessing the links using different browsers on your computer and check if it works.
Also, I've send you an email that offered an additional support, please check for the email and revert to us.

I'm sorry for the confusion, since you've mentioned that you scanned your computer using Malwarebytes, I've suggested to use one antivirus program.
In this case, please ignore the 1st step and follow the remaining steps.
If the issue persists or need assistance, please let me know, we will certainly help you with the additional support.
Hi, got this image off google, but it's exactly the same pop up I get (obviously the 'address' may differ). Is there a way that AVG can delete whatever is causing it, or some other programme? I am not competant enough to start searching through the registry for a solution!
You're most welcome, Stephen.
We appreciate your effort taken to resolve this matter.
Have you tried resetting the concerned browser and checked the status?
Hi, the ONLY anti virus programme I have installed on my laptop is AVG…
Many thanks for your continued support. I tried the 'repair' link in 'chrome' and it opened fine. Followed the instructions and have now 'repaired' AVG. Interstingly, I opened a 'private' window in FireFox, and the repair link opened, but it still gives me that "we'll be right back" message in a standard window. Not sure if that is significant or not…
Hi, probably my confusion! I have always used MalwareBytes to singularly remove malware (not 'viruses'). I have used AVG in confunction with it for over 2 decades now with no issue. Oh, failed at the first hurdle on your 'fix' as when I click on the link, this is what I get LOL
We do understand your concern, Stephen.
Upon researching, it seems that a file affiliated with Lbry (video sharing platform) has attempted to access internet.
In this regard, you can check & remove if there are any unwanted add ons installed on your Firefox.
Please try the above step & let us know if it helps.
