Bsod blamed on avglogx.sys

My Dell /Windows 10 (upgrade from Win 7) has a BSOD blaming avglogx.sys - error Oxc000007b. All diagnostics say the machine is mechanically fine. Your AVG repair CD download runs but does not cure the problem - it finds no "bad" files, so fails back to the BSOD. The original Dell Installation disc does not boot giving the same BSOD error, while a Win 10 recovery disc (from another machine) fails quoting "non system disc".

Any suggestions?
