Bug Report: AVG TuneUp Not Updating OneDrive Application Correctly

Hello AVG / Gen Digital Support Team,

I am writing to report a bug with AVG TuneUp related to its updater functionality and Microsoft OneDrive.

Issue Summary:
AVG TuneUp is not updating the Microsoft OneDrive application correctly through its updater feature.

Details:

  • Product: AVG TuneUp

  • Affected Application: Microsoft OneDrive

  • Issue: The AVG TuneUp updater fails to properly update OneDrive to the latest version

Observed Behavior:

  • OneDrive remains outdated even after running the AVG TuneUp updater

  • The updater may indicate that OneDrive is up to date when it is not

  • OneDrive functionality (including syncing) may be affected due to the outdated version

Expected Behavior:

  • AVG TuneUp should correctly detect and install the latest version of OneDrive

  • The updater should accurately report update status

  • OneDrive should remain fully functional and up to date

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open AVG TuneUp

  2. Run the software updater feature

  3. Allow it to scan for and apply updates

  4. Check the version of Microsoft OneDrive

  5. Observe that it has not been updated correctly

Additional Notes:
This issue suggests the updater may not be properly handling OneDrive updates or is incorrectly reporting update status.

Please investigate this issue and advise if there is a fix or workaround available. I can provide further system details if needed.

Thank you for your time and support.

So you do realize that people are running completely different systems, right? Different hardware, different configurations, different environments software doesn’t magically behave the exact same way for everyone just because it happens to work on your setup. The fact that you can’t see past your own experience is honestly kind of wild. And clearly, I’m not just making this up there are plenty of other people running into the same issue, which you’d notice if you bothered to look instead of defaulting to “works for me.” That alone should tell you the problem is real and not some imaginary glitch on my end.

Just because something works perfectly fine for you doesn’t mean it’s universally stable or functioning correctly across the board. That’s not how software works, and pretending otherwise just makes you sound out of touch with how this stuff actually behaves in the real world.
