Surprisingly, after starting the recommended BETA, it FIRST de-installed the current version and THEN asked for a product key, ALTHOUGH "(Hinweis: Zur Aktivierung Ihres Produktes sind künftig keine Produktschlüssel oder Seriennummern mehr notwendig. Eine Anmeldung genügt.)". I'm now waiting for a message of customer service to inform me about the still-required product key or seial number. Don't quite get along with the underlying logic …

(message to support) There appears to be a bug with your software after I upgraded to the latest version of Google Chrome (40.0.2214.91 m). AVG PC TuneUp crashes regularly. I have checked carefully under what conditions. It is always when Google Chrome is analysed, e.g. when keywords are analysed in the registry. This bug hasn't been there up to yesterday. I don't have any problems with other system or application software on my computer. Probably AVG PC TuneUp has to be re-adapted to the latest Chrome version (?). Other functions of AVG PC TuneUp seem to work properly. I cleaned my computer's registry with AVG PC TuneUp  as well as with CCleaner. All that worked perfectly, so there isn't a registry problem on my computer. It really has something to do with the reaction of AVG PC TuneUp on some changes in the current Google Chrome version. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.

You are exactly right Paul. There have already been many reports, but yours is the most detailed I've seen. Can you confirm that the latest CCleaner is able to clean your browser?
