Hi B Jones,

Thank you for being patient.
I suggest you to put AVG in Passive Mode and check if that fixes the issue.

Hi All,

I am attempting to use Big IP Edge Client to access a VPN. Unfortunately AVG does not meet the VPN requirements to log in. Windows Defender does work to access the VPN.

Is there a way to pause AVG so that I can turn on Defender? It didn't seem to work with just snoozing AVG - as installation seems to block the ability for Defender to turn on at all.

I'd like to continue to use this product, but if I have to uninstall it every time I need to access Windows Defender and my clients VPN - it will not work out for me.

B, Which version of Windows are you using?.. When Win 8 was introduced Windows Defender was re-classified & became a full AntiVirus prog which will obviously conflict with AVG. When AVG is installed Windows Defender is disabled.

Hi Alan,

It's the full version of Defender - Win 8.1 - so there is no way to "turn off" AVG so that I can enable Defender for the purposes of accessing the VPN?

The only way to do this is to uninstall AVG?
