Calendar function in Thunderbird

Hi I am a paying user, I came over from Norman.

I followed your instructions but that did not work. I rebooted the PC and tried sending a email from my account. I got the error message: An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting:  Cannot connect to SMTP server 94.136.44.23 (94.136.44.23:587), connect error 10061.

The email then tried to connect again and is now stuck in a permanent trying to send cycle.

Hello Andrew,

I understand your concern. Please let us know if you are using free or paid version of AVG. If you are using paid version, please follow the below steps and check if that fix the issue.

Please open the AVG Internet Security installed in your computer and click on Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Once this is done, click on "Network Profile(Left side of the interface) and change the profile to "Private" if selected in "Public".

I get this error message when sending out calendar invites from Thunderbird: An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting:  Cannot connect to SMTP server 94.136.44.23 (94.136.44.23:587), connect error 10061.

Is this an issue with the AVG software blocking something?
