Can no longer use AVG Free

Hello Elise,
We regret the inconvenience caused. We would request you  to remove previously installed program traces of (AVG 2015 or AVG 2014)from your system using AVG Remover tool and then try to reinstall AVG Protection Free.
Note: If you have installed any other conflicting programs like AVAST, NORTON, McAfee or KASPERSKY  try to uninstall it.
Once you have uninstalled from your system,try to follow the steps which mentioned below.
Remover and Download:
1) To download AVG remover tool, please click on this link:  http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-reinstall-AVG
2) Run the downloaded file and follow the onscreen instructions.

I had AVG Free on my laptop but due to technical issues with the laptop, the motherboard had to be replaced, and AVG was removed from the PC. A new download of AVG Free failed as it is the same laptop and I cannot access whatever pin was automatically issued to me the first time. I also cannot remove the installer, as the download must be completed in order to uninstall AVG. I am therefore caught in limbo, and the situation is slowing down the PC as well…
Is there a way to fix this?

Hi Aravindh,

Thank you for getting back to me so soon. Unfortunately I have tried the Remover Tool, but because AVG is not fully installed, it cannot uninstall at all, so I am stuck between both. Is there a way of accessing the free pin I was issued with originally, or will it have expired by now?

I redownloaded AVG and it seems to have bypassed the original download and is now working! Thank you so much for your help, and for offering the remote service!!
