Canceling AVG

I’ve never asked or responded to community questions so I don’t know how to use this particular function properly, but I am responding to the person that asked regarding canceling the AVG product. I recently purchased AVG and AVG tune up I’m still in the

trial. I actually believe that AVG is a great product they’ve come a long way since they first came out and also merged with a vest that’s the reason why it’s so good but they are scammers and you’ll get to hear what they did with me in this commentary. They used to say that they can do this and that and they were total Liars but fast forward 25 years later and now the product is really good I just don’t like how they make it very difficult to deal with my Microsoft Defender because I do like Defender however it’s not fully a hardcore security program it’s good but it’s not great. Someone hacked into my computer and messed up my updating my edge browser all of that stuff and then much more soon as I installed AVG I was able to update my browser Edge started working again many positive things so I’m keeping th
AVG ! I don’t like how it takes over to computer and kind of makes it very difficult to let you use Defender which is on

Part of the Microsoft family. obviously the Defenders is a good product but not a great product. AVG is better , anyway I also purchase tune up which is very dangerous I was against it I figure let me try it and it was the same as years ago after scanning it said I can have 9 gigs of space then I get to the space they were talking about was all the information pictures documents important stuff fun stuff everything all together that I’ve collected over a couple of decades I selected not to delete that and to delete a couple of things that I want to delete it decided on its own to delete all of my files thank God I called up and a rep was able to retrieve most of my stuff but it did mess up even some applications and the functionality of my system so I called up still in the trial. And canceled tune up no problem money back etc. now if you are still within the trial. They do jerk you around a bit I do agree 100% and try to upsell you other things as you’re trying to cancel as well to boot but within the trial period you should have no problem canceling if you do I suggest that you call them take your credit card information or payment information off or go online and do it yourself when you sign into your AVG account online and then call your credit card company and let them know that you’re in the trial. And the company is not canceling and therefore you’re not getting your money back once you let them know of the situation and that they are not canceling hence you will not be getting a refund and you’re in a trial period you send them a snapshot of the date that you purchased the product which should be in your emails you should always save purchases in your email.
I always do and you’ll have the purchase date so taking that into account if the date is within the trialof ithe 30 days you let your credit card company know you send them a snapshot again of your purchase date in the welcome aboard email take a picture of it snapshot it screenshot it and attach it and send it to your payment company credit card co. Etc.whatever whatever company you use and they will take it from there if it is after the trial then it’s on us you get stuck paying one time and then if they don’t want to cancel you do the same thing take a snapshot of your purchase date on the email that they sent you when you signed up send it to your credit card company along with a summary of what’s going on and they will stop payments to AVG in the future that’s how I’ve done it in the past with other companies and it’s always worked out as long as you send them a snapshot of your purchase date email when they send you the welcome aboard and it gives you your purchase date it should be in your email box especially if it’s recent just type up AVG in your search and it’ll come up but you should always save purchases in your saved box it’s very important to do that because companies are screwing everyone over many companies are doing this they need money they’re laying people off and they want to try to grab as much money as they can even if we’re 100% right and a lot of them are getting away with a lot of criminal activities fraud etc. This is crazy, of whatcthey did to me ! They had the nerve AVG actually because there are security company they’re in every aspect of the computer I didn’t put any payment information for the trial. I slipped through the cracks and I didn’t put any payment information they went ahead 2 days before the trial was up and took credit card information from my Google account of a totally different company I’m doing business with and applied it to their AVG Security product and paid themselves which in essence is committing fraud stealing my information and applying it to their product payment products unbelievable I’m still thinking of suing them but I don’t really want to go through what lawyers and stuff and how much can I make I don’t know but I would like to call the Better Business Bureau and do all those things to give them a black eye but I’m just not in the mood to go through all that stuff but they gave me my money back on the tune up utilities immediately no problem it was within the trial as a matter of fact they applied it and gave me another 6 months cuz they charged me a very cheap price inexpensive for the trial because of what they did and they gave me an additional 6 months for just 20 bucks so I got a year and a half of AVG for 65 bucks something like that which is pretty good that’s for the first year I stopped the auto pay like that every year is a negotiation time never leave it on auto pay other companies you can undo auto pay of course irregular paya

cell phone payable stuff like that but when a company starts messing around like that committing fraud and all that you can’t trust them so never leave auto pay on I know it’s a pain you have to call in but you use the automated service you don’t even have to speak to anybody and just make a payment it’s like you can leave your payment information with them but turn the auto pay off and to accomplish that you may have to speak to somebody but they’ll do it for you like that when you call in it’ll be easier for you to just make the payment and not have to punch in your credit card information every time but that’s my answer I know it was kind of long-winded and repetitive I just wanted to be concise I hope I helped you let me know if it works out take care and God bless. Sincerely, SR ~
